The CSBC Worship Team sang for the August 27, 2017 lakeside Morning Worship Service The exciting day at Biggerstaff Park began with a 9:00 am pancake breakfast, followed by a beautiful lake-side morning worship, communion, and baptismal service with music by our CSBC Worship Team. Following the Lord’s Supper we walked to the other side of the park to the cove where 6 of our youth and 3 adults were baptized in Lake Keowee. Our thanks to the Fellowship Committee, the many volunteers, and to the scores of members and visitors who helped to make this a wonderful day!
College Street's Tiny Christian Library is Now Open! Borrow, Read, Return: No Record Keeping, No Charge!
It’s
not high tech and it doesn't
replace our real, free, and much
larger brick-and-mortar
church library, but our prayer
is that this tiny structure will
help us share the love of Christ
through the written word, and
take His Gospel message outside
our church walls and into the
community.
Blease Harper, one of our Gideons, wanted to bring the take-a-book, return-a-book idea to the sharing of the Gospel message, and was inspired to build a little replica of a country church to house free literature, study Bibles, devotionals, children’s books, and even CDs. The tiny yet beautiful structure is installed between the office/food pantry and church parking lots. Click here for a larger picture. Tell your friends! Take, share, return - no record keeping, no charge! The Tiny Christian Library belongs to everybody and anyone can use it. It was created with the desire to connect our church family with our local neighbors – even those we have not yet met! Thanks to everyone who helped in any way with this project, and especially to Blease for the construction and installation; Brenda Mangan, who painted the library and designed and lettered the Borrow, Read, Return sign; and to Jean Thomas, our librarian/steward. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Matthew 7:7

Testimonies by Mike Thrift and Pastor Ken Reid;
Recognition of Ray and Vanessa Conway Ray and Vanessa Conway; Pastor Ken presents congratulatory cards. (Click thumbnails for larger pictures.) Ray Conway was named College Street's first annual Man of the Year as we celebrated Baptist Men's Day and honored Ray and Vanessa's 25 consecutive years of service to the music and youth ministries of College Street Baptist Church. Their service began way back in January 1981 (with a few years of interruption along the way), and continues hopefully for many years to come! We are grateful and fortunate to call them ours and for them to call us family. God bless Ray and Vanessa and thanks to you both for the thousands of ways you have impacted this church, this community and all our hearts.
