2014 VBS Report
Dear Church
Family,
About 90
“special agents” heard the gospel message in many ways
during the week of Vacation Bible School! We are so very
thankful for EACH contribution, during the week, beginning
with our wonderful team of volunteers whom we hopefully
listed all below.
We are so very
GRATEFUL for many more in our church family who contributed
money, donated giving tree items, prepared and brought
wonderful treats during the week and lifted countless
prayers for us! Without a doubt, the ENTIRE BODY OF
BELIEVERS at College Street surely participated in some way
during this great week of sharing the good news of Jesus
Christ. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
The message
this week: JESUS IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS. The evidence is
clear. We DISCOVERED it through Bible study and many
activities. Ten children DECIDED to follow Him! ALL were
challenged and are now prepared to DEFEND the truth of JESUS
CHRIST and share His love and powerful grace.
Thank you for
giving us this awesome opportunity. TO GOD BE THE GLORY for
all He has done and will continue to do, as we commit
ourselves to HIS MISSION, the
GREAT COMMISSION.

Selections preformed included A Servant's Psalm; Jesu,
Word of God Incarnate; This is Amazing Grace, When I Survey
the Wondrous Cross, and Jeremiah's Fire. Many of the

Thanks to all youth and
adults who helped to
make our annual youth-sponsored Valentine Banquet for 2014 a
beautiful and exciting event for all of the College Street
Family! The youth served as waiters/waitresses for this evening
and provided baby sitting services! Proceeds and donations will
be used for summer youth mission projects. Thanks also to the "ONS

Lynn Dean and
George Allgood in Concert
Sunday Evening, January 12, 2014
Sunday evening, January 12, 2014
was a very special time of worship and enjoyment for our College
Street folk and many visitors as we celebrated with pianist George
Allgood and organist Lynn Dean. The sanctuary resounded with a
wonderful mix of Sacred Gospel and old-time favorites as George and
Lynn were accompanied by Buddy Byars on the guitar and Mike Thrift
on drums. Following the concert the congregation celebrated with
Lynn Dean on the occasion of her 80th birthday!
